Welcome to the Ohio Township Association's (OTA) home page. The OTA is a statewide organization dedicated to the promotion and preservation of township government in Ohio. The Association was founded on June 28, 1928, and is organized in 87 Ohio counties. The Association has more than 5,200 active members, made up of trustees and fiscal officers from Ohio's 1,308 townships, and more than 4,000 associate members. This site provides information on township government in Ohio and is intended as a resource to aid in effective township government. |

Summer Conference 2008 |
This year's Summer Conference will take place in Cincinnati July 30-Aug. 2. Click here for highlights. Hotel and pre-registration forms are now available. Township Government Survey |
The OTA, in
partnership with the Center for Public Management and Regional Affairs
at Miami University, is administering a survey in June to all elected
township officials across the state. The survey will aid the OTA in
determining future Summer and Winter Conference workshop ideas, formulate
a legislative agenda and provide an updated source of general issues
and trends among townships. The survey results will be used to issue
a "State of Ohio Townships" report. The survey and report
will become a biennial project. Please take a few minutes to complete

OTA Offers Zoning Seminars |
Due
to an overwhelming response to the basic zoning sessions offered last
year, the OTA, in a joint effort with OSU Extension Services, is offering
four specialized zoning sessions in 2008. For more information and to
